INSIDE THE NOTCH

How to use it.

  1. Enable Apple Intelligence on a compatible Mac and complete its model setup.
  2. Open Ask Micro from All tools. Check any availability message shown for your Mac.
  3. Enter your question or thought and read the response. Check important details against a reliable source.

A familiar way in

Hover over or click the compact notch, use the menu-bar icon, or press Control–Option–Space. Search tools with Control–Option–K. If a shortcut is already taken, check the active shortcut in Settings.

Pin a favourite from All tools for quicker access. More about opening the notch

When the notch closes

An answer already being generated can finish while the notch is closed and MicroNotch is running. Reopen Ask Micro to read it; the tool does not schedule future work.
