How to use it.
- Open Mirror from All tools in the notch.
- Grant Camera permission when macOS asks, then check the preview.
- Leave Mirror or close the notch when finished. The preview stops when the tool is no longer open.
A familiar way in
Hover over or click the compact notch, use the menu-bar icon, or press Control–Option–Space. Search tools with Control–Option–K. If a shortcut is already taken, check the active shortcut in Settings.

When the notch closes
The camera preview stops when you leave Mirror, including when the notch closes. This is a quick preview, not a background camera session.
