How to use it.
- Open the music controls in the notch and connect Apple Music or Spotify.
- Allow the player connection or Automation access when requested by macOS.
- Use pause and skip, or check what is playing while your player provides the music.
A familiar way in
Hover over or click the compact notch, use the menu-bar icon, or press Control–Option–Space. Search tools with Control–Option–K. If a shortcut is already taken, check the active shortcut in Settings.

When the notch closes
Closing the notch does not pause your player. Playback stays with Apple Music or Spotify; reopen the notch when you need the controls.
