Time for the task. Room for a break.

Focus & everyday

Small things. Thought through.

Set a countdown

Keep track of a stretch of time without another window.

Start a Pomodoro

Use a focus session when you want a clear period for one task.

Use the stopwatch

Measure time as it passes rather than choosing a finish time.

Close the notch

Your running timer keeps going while the panel is out of the way.

IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR DAY

A familiar moment. A little help.

One task before lunch

Start a Pomodoro for the work in front of you and leave the rest of the screen to that task.

A short break

Set a countdown before stepping away so there is a clear point to come back.

How long did that take?

Run the stopwatch while you rehearse or work through a task.

INSIDE THE NOTCH

How to use it.

  1. Open Timers from All tools in the notch.
  2. Choose a countdown, Pomodoro or stopwatch. Set the available timing controls for the session you want.
  3. Start the session, then return to the panel when you need its controls.

A familiar way in

Hover over or click the compact notch, use the menu-bar icon, or press Control–Option–Space. Search tools with Control–Option–K. If a shortcut is already taken, check the active shortcut in Settings.

Pin a favourite from All tools for quicker access. More about opening the notch

When the notch closes

Timers continue when the notch closes while MicroNotch is running. Closing the panel is different from quitting the app. Code mode can suppress MicroNotch timer sounds while active.
