How to use it.
- Open Utilities from All tools in the notch.
- Choose the control you need: output volume, keep awake, colour picker or background noise.
- Review any macOS approval request for sleep controls. Stop keep awake or background noise using its own control when finished.
A familiar way in
Hover over or click the compact notch, use the menu-bar icon, or press Control–Option–Space. Search tools with Control–Option–K. If a shortcut is already taken, check the active shortcut in Settings.
Pin a favourite from All tools for quicker access. More about opening the notch
When the notch closes
Closing the panel does not undo your volume setting or stop an active keep-awake session or background noise. Return to Utilities to stop the active control.
